THE FESTIVAL PRODUCER ROLE

The Festival Producer will develop, produce, and deliver programmes and projects within Birmingham International Dance Festival in Autumn 2021 and Summer 2022, including a substantial programme in Birmingham city centre, and a range of outdoor and site-specific events at other locations across the city.

We are seeking applications from producers with a good knowledge of the performing arts and a proven track record of producing and managing performance and events in a range of settings, including outdoor spaces and non-theatre indoor spaces at a range of scales. You will need excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills; highly developed organisational and administration skills; strong budget management skills; the ability to work effectively under pressure; and a collaborative, proactive, positive and self-motivated approach. ABOUT BIRMINGHAM INTERNATIONAL DANCE FESTIVAL (BIDF)

Following its postponement in 2020 due to Covid-19, BIDF has returned this June with an exclusive all-digital programme, which will be followed by live editions in Autumn 2021 and Summer 2022, featuring an outdoor programme, local touring, youth engagement and co-productions.
