Run time of the day
Performance: 3pm
Shim Sham: 3.45pm
Produced by Stephanie Ridings in association with Lou Lomas, Tappin’ In is a co-created mass participation tap dancing and storytelling extravaganza.
Celebrating the stories of the West Midlands and the people who call it home, Tappin’ In will bring people together to get the region tap dancing and chatting about themselves, whilst having a good time.
People from Birmingham, Coventry, Stoke, Rugby, Cannock, Solihull, Tamworth and Telford are coming together during spring 2022 to learn to tap dance, whilst also listening to each other’s stories and experiences.
On 18 June we’ll take to the streets of Birmingham for the city’s biggest tap lesson and mass ‘shim sham’, a dance known as the national anthem of tap, as part of a joyful day of performance and dance!
