DanceXchange Communications Assistant
Back in 2017 I volunteered at two of London’s biggest dance events, MOVE IT and The Hotstepper UK. My duties whilst assisting at these events included: ushering audiences, running performers, greeting VIPS, liaising with artists, as well as venue setup.
From working behind the scenes, I was able to learn about the process and delivery of major dance events and watch them unfold before my eyes. Whilst volunteering at these events I met many dance artists and found it a great way to network with industry professionals. As well as enabling me to progress within my career, volunteering at these events was a very enjoyable experience and one I certainly won’t forget! I made many great friends during the process and was able to witness tons of live performances.
I am now the Communications Assistant for DanceXchange and get to work on many events including Birmingham International Dance Festival.
